There are currently over 400,000 individuals working as correctional officers in the United States. These individuals are the most important asset for all of our agencies, yet we often struggle to take care of them and are unable to recruit new individuals into our profession.

This training will focus on the impact and influence that leaders can have within an organization’s recruitment and retention. Leaders can help build a healthy agency culture by providing clear direction about the mission and vision of the agency and visibly modeling that mission and vision. We will also remind people of their “why”—the reasons they entered this profession—and how it can help improve the culture within the agency.

WITHHOLDING CONSENT OF USE OF MY LIKENESS—By selecting this, and in participating in this event for which I have registered, I am withholding my consent to the intentional use of my likeness as described above. I will be issued a color-coded registration document identification indicating that I do not agree to my likeness being captured by video or photographed. I understand that I may be asked to sit in a designated area of the instructional/presentation area and that it is my responsibility to avoid placing myself in the field of vision of any photography or video efforts occurring throughout the program, including breaks. I understand that my likeness may nevertheless inadvertently appear in future instructional, promotion, and/or other multimedia applications for criminal justice purposes created by CorWellness or its agents, such as inclusion in a large audience scene or similar use not focusing specifically on my likeness, and agree to hold CorWellness and its agents harmless for any such inadvertent use.
